about

‘Indigo’ is the second collaborative ep from Jackson Swaby and Jackie Moonbather. The story of summer nights, post sunset warmth and outdoor after parties.

“With this collaboration we wanted to further explore the space between our musical worlds. At one point jokingly mentioned making garage while doing a radio interview, and I think this stuck with us when we had our initial jam sessions, laying the foundation for non 4x4 drum patterns unlike our first release” - Jackson

Oliver Harrarp (of the Blancmange Lounge collective) played drums over the original electronic and foley beats. Instead of replacing, the two worlds were melded, capturing Jackie’s soul and jazz background along with Jackson's more electronic focused music.

The original collaboration was a BBC Introducing Sheffield favourite and played on Tom Robinson’s show on BBC 6 Music. The opening track ‘Let Me In’ reached no.38 in BBC Introducing Sheffield’s top 50 tracks of 2018.
