The story of this collaboration between ‘Jackson Swaby’ and ‘Jackie Moonbather’ is truly Sheffield (UK) and began with a serendipitous meeting through various levels of friends and acquaintances, involved in both the band and electronic music scenes. Connecting through a mutual love for soulful sounds, this 5 track ep was born from the great vibes of an afternoon jam session. This release is full of warm contemplative sounds, exploring guitar focused grooving house music. Tracks from the Ep have been broadcast on BBC Introducing, with ‘Sliding Door’ being a recent show favourite, played multiple times with a great response. The memorable vocal melody brings the feeling of great summer times. It is the story of an introduction of someone new in your life, and that memory is grounded in a mundane object. The door being an object of transition, from one space to another.
